I am an attorney, practicing in the family law area since 1985. In 2000, I opened my own practice in Menlo Park and have devoted myself to resolving family disputes exclusively through processes which do not require that my clients engage in litigation before the court. I practice in both San Mateo County and Santa Clara County, California.

Trained in Mediation in 1986 and Collaborative Practice continuously since 1994, my three attorney roles are: Mediator, Collaborative Counsel, and Consulting Attorney. As a Consulting Attorney, I provide independent legal advice to a person who is mediating their dissolution with another professional or to an individual who is negotiating the terms of a Premarital Agreement.

Another active aspect of my practice is work as a trainer since 1999, together with other members of Collaborative Practice Silicon Valley. I teach other attorneys how to successfully engage in Collaborative Practice.

The key word in my practice is respect. I am respectful of my clients and the emotional and financial challenges they face. I foster a climate of respectful communication in my work, which has as its reward the experience of calm problem solving and achievement of the long term goals which are personal to each family.
